Byetta Cancer Lawsuits

Our lawyers are currently investigating possible Byetta lawsuits on behalf of Type 2 diabetic patients who were prescribed Byetta (exenatide) and who suffered serious side effects such as pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer and thyroid cancer. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with any of these serious side effects, we may be able to help you seek compensation for damages such as medical costs and pain and suffering. To find out if you qualify to file a Byetta lawsuit, please contact us today.

Studies have shown that Byetta and similar injection medications may be linked to an increase in the risk for precancerous changes in the pancreases of users. The results are in line with reports of pancreatic cancer among Byetta users to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). According to the FDA, it received more than 290 reports of pancreatic tumors by individuals who were taking Byetta (exenatide), Januvia (sitagliptin) and Victoza (liraglutide) between Jan. 1, 2010 and June 30, 2012.

Byetta is also believed to be associated with the development of thyroid cancer and pancreatitis, a serious condition that may be a precursor to pancreatic cancer. Many times patients with pancreatic cancer and/or thyroid cancer don't even know they have cancer until it has reached an advanced stage. This is due to the fact that symptoms of these cancers usually don't show in the beginning stages. Thus, by the time many patients receive a diagnosis, the cancer has spread, making it difficult to treat.

Our Byetta lawyers recognize the seriousness of these conditions and feel that patients and their families should be compensated for damages. If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with cancer and has been treated with Byetta, you should contact us for help as soon as possible. We will evaluate your circumstances to determine if you qualify to file a lawsuit and will do everything we can to get you the full amount of compensation possible.
